Black and white portrait

made by using charcoal

these are jonas brothers portraits that was made by me back in 2008..I started to move on to using charcoal since the effects is much better but you have to know the technique since it is easily smudged and hard to rub off
you'll need:
-hard,medium,soft charcoal
-tortillon
-sponge
-charcoal rubber
-tissue

flows of colour(2)

made by using watercolour

again flows of colour which is very important in arts..first you have to know how to know how to use pencil colour..now I've move on to water colour which is non reversable...the important thing is make sure the flow is not rough or it'll not look nice

Flows of colour

Made by using watercolour pencil

yes gradient..that is what I always train myself...for me gradient is the most important in arts..it makes the painting looks alive...if not it will look blunt and dull..I've been using gradient technique in almost all of my competitions and that what's caught the judges eyes.

butterfly lines

made by using multisize black pens

this is another technique after using the pencil..this time you train yourself to be precise since pens can't be reversed...again took weeks to be finished

dragon lines

Made by using a mechanical pencil

the main reason mechanical pencil is used is to make the lines extremely fine and neat. This takes 2 weeks to be done..the easiest yet the hardest..you have to master 'press and pull' technique to create the tone..the tone is very important..and this is to train your hands..as for me I don't usually go for free things so I decided to make a dragon theme with hidden things..It is a very interesting artwork to do

BACK TO BASIC

this is made by 2b pencil only

This is the first technique that anyone should learn if you want to draw portrait since using pencil is the easiest to control..after this you can develop and move to 8b pencil, charcoal, water colour and so on
